Tax and spend, big government, and bloated bureaucracy – that’s the big three in Washington and Sacramento. Tax cuts are working for the country, but California taxpayers are being unfairly punished for their zip code. At the same time, Californians are getting squeezed every day by higher property and gas taxes. Businesses and families are leaving the state as taxes spiral out of control. Garcia wants to make the 2017 federal tax cuts permanent, lead the charge in California to protect Prop 13 to keep property taxes in check, and limit the burden on California families. He will also fight to ensure the $10k limit for state and local tax (SALT) deductions is increased.  This is something only a Republican can negotiate. California and the federal government have a spending problem, not a revenue problem. Smaller government and lower taxes are the keys to strong economic growth.
