“Always Remember, Always Honor” pays tribute to the fallen servicemen and women with video personally taken by Mike Garcia.
Today, Former Naval Officer and fighter pilot, and current candidate for Congress, Mike Garcia, released a video commemorating Memorial Day and remembering those who sacrificed their lives in defense of the country.
Titled “Always Remember, Always Honor”, the video uses footage personally taken by Mike Garcia during his nearly 20-year career in the Navy. The video also shows the unique perspective of Garcia in the cockpit during his time as a fighter pilot.
“As a Naval Officer for almost 20 years, I’ve lost a lot of friends and shipmates. They bravely paid the ultimate sacrifice so we as Americans may always live free,” Garcia said. “We thank them and must never forget them. We honor these heroes who gave all so we may remain the greatest nation in the world.”
Garcia, a first-generation American citizen, is a highly decorated United States Naval Officer who was honored with becoming one of the first F/A-18E Super Hornet strike fighter pilots in the Navy. He flew over 30 combat missions during Operation Iraqi freedom over Baghdad, Fallujah, and Tikrit.
In his run for Congress, Garcia is endorsed by former Congressmen Buck McKeon and Elton Gallegly. California Congressional District 25 includes parts of northern Los Angeles County and part of eastern Ventura County. It includes the cities of Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, Palmdale, Lancaster, and the northern part of the San Fernando Valley.
For me personally, there is no more important day than today.
As a Naval Officer for almost 20 years, I have lost too many friends and shipmates.
I remember them every day but especially today and with a heavy heart.
Memorial Day represents an opportunity for all Americans to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice so many of our military members and their families have made to preserve the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
America is the greatest country on Earth, and we are blessed to live in this nation.
We ride proudly on the shoulders of the heroes who have given all.
We thank them.
We must never forget them.
And we should never take our way of life for granted.
May God Bless the United States of America.
